The problem with BMS is the number of causes it might have. Therefore the numbers of possible treatments are just as many, and can be a downright maze to move around in.

Personally, I've been checked for almost everything possible, including deficiency of several vitamins, minerals and hormones. I think I've had more than 10 individual blood tests taken. Several tests for Candida-fungus which didn't show anything. I tried some anti-fungal medicin anyway, just to be sure. I've been tested for all kinds of allergies, and been on a strict diet for 2 months. I've been examined by several dentists to see if something was mechanically wrong with my bite. I've been checked by ear/nose/throat-specialists, neurologists, psychiatrists and alternative treaters. I've been through a ton of different doctors and different types of medication, all without much help. But I don't regret it, because one of them might have been able to find a simple logical explanation to my symptoms. And even if he didn't I could elliminate that specific possibility, and focus on something else.

So I definitely believe that it's worth trying all things possible, because some of it might work on you. But saying that, at the same time I feel it's important not to victimize yourself. Don't seek doctors blindly. Elliminate one thing at a time, even though you might feel like you need all the help you can get right now. This will help in the long run because it gets a lot easier to tell what worked from the things that didn't. A one point, I was going to an acupuntur, an allergi-specialist, my regular doctor and a psycologist. I had no way of telling which one of those four helped me, and who didn't.

I'll list the things that I've either read about or tried that might help. Hopefully we'll get a lot of postings on the messageboard with individual results from the different medicaments, and/or other types of treatments.

Different types of Tricyclic Antidepressants
1. Anafranil
2. Saroten
3. Fontex

Different types of Anticonvultants
1. Clonazepan/Klonopin
2. Gabapentin (Neurontin) - apparently combined with the Clonazepam
3. Tegretol

Others
Different types of opiods, antifungals, vitamins, minerals, hormone supplements and Capsaicin.

I'm not a doctor, and of course it's very important that you consult your own physician, and get a second opinion about trying these medications. But my feeling is, don't be afraid of trying everything possible.

NOTE: Again, I can't stress enough, that relying 100% on medicin to relive you of your symptoms is, in my view, a huge mistake. It must be combined with psychological work, and for example the products which I offer you here on the page.
