| I have been taking Prednisone for polymyalgia since March 09. BMS started slowly after a while so I did not tie it to the Prednisone right away. My BMSwas irratated by vinager, salty foods, spicey foods and alchol. Stopped all of these things or small quantities over time and my BMS is now very mild. I'm hoping it will go away completly when I'm off this horrible drug. |

Hi Ken, so sorry you're on a prednisone regemin, but I hope you get the results you need. I just wanted to relate that my BMS and TMJD symptoms positively explode with the smallest amount of alchohol. I hope you are able to use one of the home remedies such as cayenne pepper candy or hot sauce &etc. to get some temporary relief from your BMS. Best wishes, Dave. _________________ Slide on the ice. |

Ken,
Is it possible that there is something else you can take for your Polymyalgia that won't cause your mouth to burn? Just wondering. I think it is possible that there are meds for Myalgia type syndromes that may actually help BMS. Everybody is different though. Some say Cymbalta can help BMS, but for me it made mine worse. Just thought I'd mention this in case there is something else for Polymyalgia. It's a shame that you are experiencing BMS symptoms from what you are taking.
However, may you find what works best for you! _________________ Jean L |
